Beings from outer space are sometimes called "aliens," but it's more accurate to call them "extraterretrials," which means beings from somewhere other than Earth. People have been talking about beings from other planets for years and years. Some people say that UFOs (unidentified flying objects) and ET's (extraterrestrials) are simply figments of our imagination. Other people suggest that we can only see these beings when we're in a different state of consciousness.

Whatever we believe, it would be foolish of us to rule out the possibility of life existing on the planets of other stars in the Universe. The truth is nobody really knows!

Famous UFO Sightings

In 1947, one of the most important cases in the history of UFOs began, called the Roswell incident. The U.S. air force is believed is believed to have found a spaceship the crashed in New Mexico. The craft apparently contained beings that were about three feet tall! When the incident was first reported, it caused a sensation. It became even more famous because it's probably the only time that a government has admitted that UFOs possibly exist. There's a copy of an FBI telegram that confirms the case, but only days after the discovery was made public, the United States authorities denied it. UFO investigators believe that the whole story was then made secret.

In 1952, there were several incidents in the United States, which included lights circling above Washington's Capitol Building.

In 1976, in Iran, a near-collision between military jets and UFOs was reported.

In 1978 there were three sightings of UFOs over New Zealand by two pilots. The incident happened over the Pacific Ocean at Blenheim when a "mother ship" was spotted with two satellites. The pilots reported seeing glowing lights and they reckoned the spacecraft was travelling at approximately 900 miles per hour!

Alien Abductions

Some people calim that they've been abducted, or kidnapped by ETs. One of the most famous UFO abductions happened in New Hampshire, U.S.A., when Betty and Barney Hill claimed they were abducted while driving through the White Mountains. The couple told their dramatic story under hypnosis, and it included ETs with huge eyes and strange shaped heads. A film about the case was shown around the World. It led to many more reports of similar stories.

Another abduction case that's still raising questions to this day is that's become known as the "Ilkley Moor Entity." In the 1980s, a young police officer called Phillip Spencer was walking in Yorkshire, England, when he claims to have seen a strange green creature with large eyes, long ears, skinny arms and legs, thick fingers, and a slit for a mouth. Philip hurried home, only to discover that two hours had passed unaccounted for. Under hypnosis he described being in a brightly lit room and being examined by ETs!

Most Commonly Known Extraterrestrials

Pleiadians	The Pleiades are located in the constellation of Taurus. They consist of seven stars often called the Seven Sisiters.	Dimension Travellers and guardians of the gates you pass when you leave or enter some dimensional planes. A well-known culture who interact with humankind and assist us on our spiritual paths.
Zeta Reticulis	Zeta-Reticuli is a star system in the constellation Reticulum, visible only in the southern hemisphere	There are benevolent Zeta's who offer real assistance and help to experience other dimensions; and ones merely interested in DNA samples without much care about the humans who offer it. It is the Zeta's who abduct humans for testing.
Sirians	Sirius is a double-star system in the constellation Canis Major. Sirius-A is the brightest star in the sky besides our Sun, about 8 light-years away.	Sirians are spiritual warriors and strongly connected to dolphins and whales. Many people feel familar with these life-forms because they lived in those forms as well and perceive those entities as loving friends.
Lyrians	Lyra is a small constellation only visible from the northern hemisphere. It's most well known features are Vega, the brightest star in this constellation, and the Ring Nebula, remenants of a dying star.	Lyrians, long evolved beyond the conflict stage, are now interested in our welfare and feel a special responsibility toward us since we reflect the earlier warlike tendencies of themselves.
Arcturians	Arcturus is a red-supergiant star in the constellation Bootes and the brightest star in that constellation. It is visible from the northern hemisphere.	Arcturus is one of the most advanced civilizations in this galaxy. It is the fifth- dimensional civilization that is a prototype of Earth's future. Its energy works as an emotional, mental, and spiritual healer for humanity.
Orions	Orion, the hunter, is a large constellation visible in both hemispheres.	The "Orions" have a very negative reputation in much of the esoteric literature because they have engaged in many conflicts and in much destructive wars with other ETs of this universe

Types Of Close Encounter

There are special ways to describe the different kinds of close encounter that we can have with extraterrestrial beings.

The First Kind is seeing a UFO close up.
The Second Kind is when there's physical evidence too.
The Third Kind is when someone meets an extraterrestrial being.
The Fourth Kind is when a person is temporarily abducted by an extraterrestrial. The person may temporarily lose his or her memory.
The Fifth Kind is when the same person is abducted several times. The person often only recalls what happened under hypnosis.
