I

On soft padded feet
The cat enters the garden
Flowers envy him

She sits weaving rugs
With colours of morning skies
From her midnight dreams

Clear blue skies above
lush green grasses underneath

Mother

So long ago
Faded memories
Her face
Her laughter and warm hugs

Embraced
Those arms, once a comfort to me
The steps to her grave seem shorter
The time spent there seems longer
So much time has passed
Yet still she listens
